Medal Design:
Large multi-rayed star with sharply fluted rays in silvered finish.
The central medallion features a gilt portrait of Andrés Bello surrounded by a blue enamel ring bearing the inscription:
“ANDRES BELLO”
The name refers to Andrés Bello, Venezuelan intellectual, educator and statesman.
The lower portion of the blue enamel ring includes laurel decoration. Reverse shows a traditional vertical brooch fitting with two stabilizing side hooks, typical for larger breast stars of this type.
