Medal Design:
The obverse features a central medallion with monogram and the date “1920,” surrounded by a blue enamel ring inscribed:
“THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE”

The badge is formed as a multi-rayed star with white enamel arms and blue-enamelled stars between the rays.

The reverse medallion bears the inscription:
“LIGHT IN DARKNESS”
and depicts a classical female figure holding a torch over the sea, symbolizing enlightenment and freedom.

The suspension consists of a laurel wreath in gilt metal.

Condition:
