Authentic lot of three original Belgian World War II campaign medals, awarded to members of the Force Publique and volunteers of the First and Second World Wars. A rare grouping, especially with the Ethiopian Campaign medal, awarded to fewer than 500 individuals.1. Belgian Commemorative Medal of the Ethiopian Campaign (1940–1941)
Awarded to Belgian forces who fought in Saio, Gambela, and Asosa during the Abyssinian campaign alongside British forces.
Obverse: Profiles of a European and African soldier, date "1940–1941".
Reverse: Engraved “SAIO – GAMBELA – ASOSA” with stars.
Designer: Arthur Dupagne.
Condition: Very Fine (VF) – some oxidation near base, ribbon lightly frayed.
2. Belgian African War Medal 1940–1945
Awarded for service in the Force Publique during WWII.
Obverse: Left-facing profile of an African soldier and Belgian soldier with “1940–1945”.
Reverse: Plain (as issued).
Condition: Very Fine (VF) – even aging, ribbon intact.
3. Belgian FNC Volunteer Recognition Medal (WWI & WWII)
Issued by the National Federation of WWI & WWII Volunteers (FNC).
Obverse: WWI and WWII soldier heads (Adrian helmet + M2 helmet).
Reverse: Plain.
Condition: Extremely Fine (EF) – strong detail, minimal wear.
